Latine Families, Play, and Resistance in Times of Fear

This mixed-methods project examines how immigration-related policies affect Latine parents’ well-being, parenting, and play-based learning with young children. Funded by APA Division 15  Funded by APA Division 15. 

Oral Language in Mathematics Learning: A Study of Bilingual Latine Families &  Children

Funded by the NAEd and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation EMERG Grant, this ethnographic study explores language and mathematics interactions among Latine parents and children.  

Families as Co-designers of a Family Math Activity Kit

Through co-design sessions and iterative prototyping, caregivers and children work alongside the research team to shape math activities, materials, and facilitation guides that are meaningful, accessible, and responsive to family contexts.
